    Bellewstown Races

  • Horse racing at Bellewstown Racecourse, on the Hill of Crockafotha in Co. Meath, is beautifully situated with magnificent views of the Mountains of Mourne to the north and the Irish Sea to the east.

    The tradition of summer racing at Bellewstown dates back centuries and the first record of racing here appears in the August edition of the Dublin Gazette and the Weekly Courier in 1726.

    This superb one mile and one furlong left handed course, in a truly unique location, features both flat and hurdle racing. Bellewstown Races are synonymous with top class racing, wonderful summer evenings, family entertainment and ladies day races which add to the fun.

    Heritage Week

  • Each year, during the last week of August, many national and hundreds of local community organisations participate by organising events throughout the country. Many of the events that take place during the week are free and the programme highlights the abundance of great work that is carried out in all communities in Ireland to preserve and promote our natural, built and cultural heritage.

    Our enhanced 2019 Boyne Adventure Race is one not to miss and promises to be a challenge to all you adventurers. 

    This year, all participants will receive our bespoke event training plan, maps, a finish line you will want to get through along with many more enhancements.Our 2019 Boyne Adventure Race is part of our 2019 Trim Salmon of Knowledge Festival , and this year takes place on Saturday, giving you more time to enjoy the weekend and explore Trim and the Boyne Valley.

    Race Around Ireland

  • The 10th edition of Race Around Ireland will start on Sunday 26th August 2018.  Teams start at 2pm and Solos start at 4pm.

    It starts in Trim, County Meath, with the imposing Trim Castle in the background (remember the Castle in the movie Braveheart?).  From here the cyclists head off around the country taking in some of the most amazing scenery and historic sights,in Ireland,  like Newgrange, The Causeway Coast, The Dark Hedges, Malin Head, The Cliffs of Moher, The Ring of Kerry, Mizen Head, the Garden County (Wicklow) and back to Moynalty in County Meath

    Trim Salmon of Knowledge Festival 2019

  • Trim Salmon of Knowledge Festival in partnership with Race Around Ireland present a cultural experience of the mythical Salmon of Knowledge coinciding with the start of the Race Around Ireland Event.

    It is a celebration of the river Boyne in all it’s glory.  The festival features drama, musical, story telling, sporting activities (for young & not so young) and novelties from Trim and the Boyne Valley region.
